Job: Health & Safety Officer, Epping Forest College

We require a Health & Safety professional to be responsible for providing competent advice to staff and management as well as carrying out a wide and varied range of duties which will include assisting in the risk assessment process, workplace inspections, reviewing and implementing systems of work and generally assisting in the ongoing promotion of a positive safety culture at the College. You will carry out, accident investigations, training, health & safety audits/inspection of workplaces to ensure compliance with health & safety legislation and related legislation.

The overall objectives are continuous improvement and ensuring full compliance with Health and safety legislation across the College at all times. You should have a good working knowledge and understanding of Occupational Health and Safety legislation. Knowledge of Fire and Environmental legislation/issues would be an advantage although not essential.

The ideal candidate will be a committed and self-motivated Health and Safety professional with experience of working within a Health and Safety environment and will possess as a minimum a NEBOSH certificate and ideally hold IOSH membership and preferably have two years post qualification experience.
