Job: Health & Safety Manager, Snows Timber

Snows Timber, a leading importer and processor of softwood products and Crendon Timber Engineering, a leading designer and manufacturer of timber engineered products are part of the Bradfords Group.

This is a high profile, pro-active role within our business, responsible for all aspects of health & safety across nine operating sites.

Responsibilities

• Visiting our operating sites on a regular basis to advise and assist our management and staff on all health and safety related issues and undertaking site inspections and audits.

• Coaching managers and staff and training where necessary on health & safety matters.

• Producing monthly reports.

• Ensuring the senior management team are aware of changes in Health and Safety legislation.

• Recommending and implementing changes to improve working practices.

Skills

• Able to communicate effectively across all levels to ensure managers and staff are fully aware of how to manage H&S in our workplaces.

• Able to plan and organise a workload effectively to ensure business needs are met.

• Flexible and adaptable to deal with H&S issues whenever and wherever they arise.

• Confident presentation skills to ensure senior managers understand and comply with legislation and changes which need to be implemented.
