Mercedes-Benz HighPerformanceEngines is a Daimler AG Company whose principal activities are the design, manufacture and supply of Mercedes-Benz Formula 1 racing engines into the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Health Safety & Environmental Manager to deliver the following:

• A structured and integrated approach to all aspects of risk management within our business.
• Development of the company’s strategy for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
• Provide support to managers/employees to ensure the company meets its legal obligations regarding HSE matters.
• Assistance with resolving employee occupational health issues.
• Undertaking risk assessments.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of H&S policies and procedures.
• Undertaking audits and inspections against the Company’s safety and environmental management systems.

Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a health and safety/environmental management position, with experience ideally gained in an engineering or manufacturing environment. Ideally applicants will be qualified to NEBOSH Diploma Standard (or similar) and must possess a good working knowledge of appropriate management systems such as ISO 18001 and ISO 14001.

The successful candidate must have a very pragmatic and practical hands on approach, whilst being able to take a strategic view towards establishing and influencing longer term company objectives and policy.
