But you may not know much about us, or our work. That’s because most people will never experience life in prison – although it is an unfortunate reality for over 80,000 (including non-public sector prisons) people and their families. The Prison Service is committed to providing a safe, decent and healthy environment for all.
West Midlands Area Office are looking for an Area Health, Safety and Environment Advisor to coordinate and advise establishments and Area Office on matters relating to Health and Safety, Fire Safety, DDA and Environment and Sustainability.
Proven experience in management of Health and Safety systems is essential and applicants must have achieved at least Nebosh Diploma or NVQ level 4 in Health and Safety. Experience and/or knowledge in Environmental and Sustainability management would be advantageous also, however training for this will be given.
