One of the world’s foremost engineering and design consultancies are seeking an experienced health and safety professional with a civil engineering background, ideally in highways related schemes. The team, which consists of 17 professional senior staff based in central Birmingham provide expertise on all aspects of Highways and Bridge design, development and application of Intelligent Transport Systems and Strategic Asset Management. The Occupational Health & Safety Team within the Technical Consultancy Group provides health and safety training, planning co-ordinator services and general health and safety advice. A substantial part of the role will be provision of CDM Co-ordinator services. CDM-C and design team experience is therefore essential.
In addition to relevant experience in a similar role, the succesful candidate will ideally possess a civil engineering or other construction related degree and/or formal Health and Safety Qualifications – Degree or Post Grad Qualifiation, NEBOSH Diploma, Construction Certificate etc. You are also likely to be a RmaPS.
