Group Quality Manager required at a large Principal Contractor, Central London.

Your new company
Our client is a large Principal Contractor operating on a variety of prestigious projects in Central London. This company is one of the largest construction businesses in the South East of the UK. In order to grow their Quality Assurance department, they are recruiting for a Group Quality Manager.

Your new role
The Group Quality Manager will be responsible for the management and continual improvement of the Group Quality Management Systems, in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015. They will manage an internal quality audit programme and the external certifications held by the group companies. It is a head office based role, although there will be close liaison with project teams through internal audits, whilst assisting with the implementation of the QMS and in the course of advising on general QA matters.

Key responsibilities will include administering and advising on the implementation of the Group Quality Management Systems (QMS), in accordance with the requirements of ISO 9001, advising upon general QA matters, including project and business wide process management; assisting construction teams in adopting and implementing the correct processes and procedures; advising on the use of QED, the QMS and Business Management System, across the group; preparing a formal annual audit programme, to assess compliance on projects, in departments and yards of the group, to the requirements of the QMS, including audit and finding reporting.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate is an experienced Quality professional with a background in Construction. You will have ISO 9001 Auditor Training, and a thorough understanding of QA, compliance, legal and contractual obligations of a
Civil Engineering and Construction business. Experience in Health and Safety is also an important requirement.
CSCS card and knowledge of CDM is also required.
