Job Title: Wellbeing Health and Safety Manager

Directorate: Finance and Corporate Services

Reports to: Head of People Management

Welsh language requirements: 1

Work pattern: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Working environment: Your role will be primarily office based but will include travel between different NRW locations

This role will lead the WHS agenda for NRW. It has significant strategic responsibilities and will be the expert most senior advisor regarding WHS in NRW. They will need to demonstrate and good strategic management driving forward key initiatives on behalf of NRW.

They will work with key stakeholders across NRW including the Board, ET, senior managers and external providers. They will be responsible to improving WHS provision across NRW.

Where this role sits:

It is part of the People Management function, that sits within the Finance and Corporate Services Directorate. People Management is made up of Human Resources and Training and Development. This role will be one of 3 roles that report into the Head of People Management. As such the successful candidate will play a significant role in driving new ways of working both within the People Management function as well as across NRW.

Key Job Qualifications or Knowledge:

Senior and substantial experience and/or a professional qualification (IOSH/NEBOSH) as a health and safety advisor.
