Additional Information: The land we own to support housing delivery is a diverse mix of surplus public sector, former industrial and commercial land and property, in excess of 7000 hectares in size presenting varying degrees of safety, health and environmental risks. The size of the development estate is set to increase as we embark on a large programme of land transfers from other government departments, and acquisitions of former commercial property, to support the Government’s ambition to build over 300,000 new homes per annum. We are also a major construction client, de-risking sites and assembling land ready for housing development. In order to support the growth in the organisation we will also be opening additional offices across England.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a broad range of Safety, Health and Environmental knowledge and skills to provide support and advice to employees and teams across our regional offices in the Midlands and South and advice and auditing services to our development estate across the same area. If you like a challenge and a job that involves continuously learning and collaborative working this role could be for you. We are therefore looking for a Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) adviser with the pre requisite skills, experience and qualifications, to provide support and advisory services to Homes England, in particular, the Estates Management, Facilities and Land teams. Although the post is based in Bristol, Bedford or Coventry there will be a need to travel to other Homes England offices and sites across the Midlands and Southern England with the occasional overnight stay.
