Exciting opportunity for a degree qualified Health and Safety Manager to work in a very unique and lively environment within the sports and leisure sector. You must have experience of operational management on high profile events or major venues, festivals and stadiums. With past experience within a key management position in an organisation from within an industry or organisation related to Health and Safety event management.

This is the perfect opportunity for a polished professional to join a dynamic team within a diverse and fast paced environment. You will need to have previous project management experience and attention to detail, with excellent investigation, presentation and reporting skills and have the ability to work autonomously and prioritise workload.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Health and Safety, ensuring compliance to all legal obligations and related duties under current Health and Safety legislation. Assisting the development and management of robust Health and Safety strategies, policies, procedures and assist all line managers in their pragmatic and proactive implementation.

You will support hard-delivery departments on issues relating to Construction design Management (CDM) Regulations. Conduct RIDDOR accident investigations on sit and produce management reports and recommendations, in addition to supporting managers with non-RIDDOR investigations.

With the daily auditing of the grounds giving a strong focus on high risk areas such as trip hazards, fire escape routes and areas where vehicles operate in close proximity to pedestrians. You will liaise with all contractors, Emergency Services, Environmental Health and Stewarding Groups as appropriate and operate with integrity and discretion at all times.

The successful candidate must be degree qualified within Science, Engineering or other relevant discipline and hold a minimum of NEBOSH General or NEBOSH Construction. With knowledge of relevant HSEQ systems (ISO14001, ISO9001 and OHSAS 18001 standards). You will have previous event management experience and experience of working in a multi-sector environment.
