Your new role
As Regional Health and Safety Advisor you will be responsible for managing depots and work sites in your region. Based in the companies London Depot you will be responsible for managing a number of different project teams to ensure they are adhering to legislation and working to best practice. Reporting into the SHEQ Manager you will be responsible for working with senior management across the business to promote and advice on best practice. You will be responsible for contractor management by conducting audits on their site work and systems. As well as visiting sites to conduct inspections/audits you will also be responsible for liaising with your clients to manage safety on these projects. You will be required to deliver inductions and internal training where required. Challenging the current attitude towards health and safety will be a big part of your role by proactively contributing to its continual improvement.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate for this role will hold the minimum of the NEBOSH general certificate along with previous health and safety experience within the civils/utilities industry. Telecoms, confined space or highways experience will be beneficial but not essential for the role. You will be self-starter capable of working independently yet still part of a bigger team. You will have previous success with driving change with behavioural safety.
