Health and Safety Manager

Do you consider yourself an experienced, forward thinking and adaptable team player who can hit the ground running?

Cancer Research UK are looking for a qualified Health and Safety Manager to play a key role in shaping the organisation’s direction with regards to Health and Safety. This diverse role allows you to work with a range of functions including retail, events, property and our scientific research sites, providing subject matter expertise and advice to help raise standards and minimise risk.

We are looking for a creative enabler to…

  • Provide relevant pragmatic health & safety advice and guidance across the organisation
  • Help develop our health & safety management system including areas around policy, standards, guidance and continuous improvement
  • Prepare management information and reports to measure and monitor the effectiveness and relevancy of controls
  • Design and deliver information, instruction, training and mentoring to internal stakeholders
  • Undertake ad-hoc assignments or projects where required

This role would suit someone with…

  • Significant experience as a Health and Safety practitioner
  • Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to partner with an influence senior stakeholders
  • Proven ability to engage others and communicate issues in a simple way
