Regional Health and Safety Coach (Warehouse / Logistics)

UK, South - Bracknell, St Albans, or Crawley | £48,000 + Car

An exciting newly created opportunity has arisen with a leading warehouse and logistics organization, who are recruiting a Regional Health and Safety Coach to cover the South East of the UK. This expanding brand is well-recognised across the UK and this role is a great opportunity to work with them in helping to drive the health and safety agenda.

The company has a number of warehouse and logistics sites across the region, each site having a trained health and safety lead. This role is working across the region, engaging with the site health and safety leads and business managers to mentor, coach and challenge to help drive health and safety performance.

Responsibilities for the Regional Health and Safety Coach will include:

  • Assisting, advising and mentoring senior management on the day to day implementation of the safety management system, auditing against this and running training where required
  • Working with site managers to create pragmatic solutions and ensuring key priorities from audits are actioned
  • Taking a national lead of key health and safety projects to ensure a high level of performance across the country
  • Continually looking for opportunities to improve performance across health and safety

The successful Regional Health and Safety Coach candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role with a focus on warehouse and logistics
  • Experience operating in extremely fast paced, multi-site environment and be able to prioritise effectively
  • A pragmatic and solutions focused outlook with the ability to spot efficiencies across the organisation
  • Exceptional communications skills with experience of influencing and engaging effectively across a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ideally hold or working towards CMIOSH status

This position will require a self-starter who can work both independently and as part of a wider team, lead by example and hit the ground running. The position will include travel; a valid UK driver's license is essential.
