Group HSE Manager
Your new role
Group HSE Manager role working for a major global publisher based in North Essex. As Group HSE Manager you will be responsible for developing strategy and acting as lead for all Health, Safety and Environmental issues across the business. The business currently has three live sites (distribution centres) in the UK and is undergoing a major project to close down one site and expand the remaining two. This role is to be based on the larger of the two remaining sites in North Essex to establish, maintain and provide clear leadership for the development of a safe working environment. Your responsibilities will include keeping up to date with current and changing legislation to ensure policies, procedures and method statements are up to scratch and being adhered to. You will conduct audits and inspections of the site to identify and highlight any issues that present risk to the business. Other responsibilities will include driving the company's energy and waste strategy. In addition you will identify training needs within the business and create/deliver appropriate training to ensure site staff is kept up to date.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate for this role will hold the minimum of NEBOSH Diploma and preferably be a current Chartered member of IOSH otherwise, be proactively working towards. You will have previous Health and Safety experience within a warehouse/logistics environment. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to influence across the business and have the ability to work successful with other business units. Previous experience working within complex structure and dealing with various stakeholders will be beneficial.
