Health & Safety Officer

Working for one of the largest housing providers in the UK with a property portfolio on track to expand to 40,000+, with current construction projects underway across London and The South-East. This role will be based in the Middlesex area (West London) but will be a regional role covering multiple sites across the South-East.
Your new role
This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract as Health and Safety Officer, with the potential to go permanent. It is a new role within the business which has been created due to support the company's expanding property portfolio across the South East of England. You will be responsible for acting as the link between the company (Contractor) and the Principal Contractor for your projects. You will work collaboratively with the PC team to ensure that policies and procedures are being implemented and adhered to on site. This will also involve keeping up to date with any changes in legislation and ensure the company's legislation are in line with these updates. You will work to drive a positive safety culture by promoting best practice and working closely with management. When on site you will be required to attend site meetings, as well as carry out risk assessments, site inspections and audits.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate for this position will hold the minimum of the NEBOSH certificate and a strong construction background is essential. You must have previous site based health & safety experience with regional experience being beneficial. You must hold a clean and current driving license and have your own car.
