CDM / Health and Safety Manager

Starting salary is £41,025 rising to £42,899 on first year anniversary, subject to satisfactory completion of a probation period.

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced CDM/ Health and Safety Manager to join Nottingham City Council's Commercial and Infrastructure Directorate. You will be responsible for providing expert health and safety leadership to colleagues, and helping to ensure that the Directorate continues to meet its Corporate and wider legislative health and safety requirement.

You will have experience of developing and implementing health and safety (in particular Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM) 2015) processes for a wide range of civil, mechanical and electrical engineering projects and maintenance activities which are often of high value and high risk.

Essential Requirements:

  • A NEBOSH diploma in Health and Safety or demonstrated significant equivalent experience.
  • Experience of providing expert health and safety leadership across a broad range of construction-related.
  • Experience in the provision of CDM 2015 management and construction-specific (practical and technical) health and safety advice.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with a high level or influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to interpret legislative requirements into action and understandable instructions for others.
