This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HSE Manager to join a world renowned manufacturing business in their site in Burton upon Trent. They are a global company with sites across the world to support their growing customer base. They are a very modern company who strive for excellence aiming to be an employer of choice who develop and nurture talent within the business.
Due to changes in the business over recent years, including huge growth in terms of size and turnover, this has naturally left areas of development across Health, Safety and Environment. You will be expected to develop, deliver, and maintain a full range of SHE policies and procedures to govern the organisations operations and ensure compliance with relevant UK legislation and company policies. There is already a strong safety culture within the business but room for further improvement, which is were you will step in and develop.
You will be a people person, a strong communicator and team player with a proven track record of promoting positive change across the business. You must be able to build strong relationships from the shop floor to the board, engage the company in moving towards a forward thinking safety culture and you yourself must be a strong manager with the following:
• An automotive manufacturing background would be desirable or another fast paced manufacturing business.
• Hold a minimum of a Health and Safety Diploma from avenues including but not exclusive to NCRQ, NVQ, NEBOSH or University Degree.
