Health, Safety & Facilities Manager
A new role of HS & Facilities Manager to join a leading photo print and gift production company in Devon.
Your new company
My client has been printing photos at their UK site for more than 20 years, they have seen enormous growth that has led to the creation of this role. As one of the UK's biggest photo processing labs and owner of the UK's largest mail order film processing brand, they have evolved over the years, each time being at the forefront of market changes.
Your new role
As mentioned above, this is an exciting new role of Health, Safety & Facilities Manager that has been created due to the growth of the business. Health and Safety had previously been managed by the Head of HR, but expansion has led to the need for a dedicated role to champion and improve this area throughout the organisation.
This position is predominantly based at the Newton Abbot site, but may require travel on occasions (so a Full UK Driving Licence is essential). 40 hours/week Monday-Friday, including paid breaks.
The primary function of the role is as follows:
H&S; The primary responsibility of this role is to co-ordinate, support and advise the Business on all aspects of Health and Safety.
Facilities; To agree and oversee providers and contracts for services, including security, cleaning and catering. Ensuring facilities are well-maintained, meet regulations and standards.
What you'll need to succeed
The company are looking for a flexible and co-operative person with an assertive, yet calm/approachable demeanour. They are keen to take their employees on a positive journey, rather someone who will police health and safety to achieve results.
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years experience in a similar role, ideally in manufacturing and/or the print/photographic industry. CMIOSH is preferred, but Grad IOSH or equivalent (Diploma/NVQ/NCRQ) will also be considered with strong experience. This role will form part of the management team so the ability to communicate well at all levels of a business is essential.
What you'll get in return
A market-led salary of £40,000-£50,000/annum (DOE) with potential car allowance plus flexible holiday scheme.
A vast range of flexible benefits include: Private medical/permanent health insurance, discretionary bonus, childcare vouchers, FREE parking, a Christmas gift voucher and access to a subsidised canteen.
