Health & Safety Officer
Your new role
You will be working for a construction company based in Essex that are well established within the refurbishment sector including alteration and extension work. Your new role as Health & Safety Officer you will liaise with company directors and operations in all areas health and safety for the business. You will be responsible for maintaining the company's health and safety manuals and procedures as well as, project health & safety files. You will regularly visit sites to complete site inspections, and promote best practice. You will be heavily involved with developing the company's health and safety culture by working closely with all levels of management to provide advice and guidance. This will be combined with updated the companies health & safety training programme. As a result of all these activities you will be able to collate all site data to produce reports on incidents, accidents, sub-contractors etc.
What you'll need to succeed
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking to progress their career by gaining more experience in a standalone role. The successful candidate for this role will hold the minimum of the NEBOSH certificate (preferably construction) and be a Technical member of IOSH. You will have previous experience within construction/refurbishment industries. Previous experience in a standalone multisite role will be beneficial.
