Safety, Health and Well-Being

The University’s Safety, Health and Well-Being Team provide professional health and safety advice to the University community.

We are seeking an outstanding fire safety and health and safety specialist who will be providing advice on all aspects of Safety, Health and Well-being; with a particular focus on fire safety, emergency planning, risk assessment and training, across the University.

This challenging position requires an experienced practitioner with excellent interpersonal skills.  You must be self-confident and persuasive in giving professional advice at all levels, and have outstanding communication skills both orally and in writing. You will ideally have experience of working within a large multi-site organisation.  Both a recognised fire safety qualification/GIFireE, and, as a minimum, TechIOSH membership are essential.  Experience of carrying out and managing fire risk assessments and emergency planning would be a distinct advantage.
