Construction Health & Safety Advisor
Your new role
Working for a major housing association across the South East of England. This role is working as part of the company's construction team working on new build and regeneration projects in the region. You will be responsible for providing specialist advice and guidance to all levels of management across the company's construction activities, which will include CDM. Your key responsibilities will include collating all pre-construction information on behalf of the company, as client. For the duration of these projects you will be required to carry out construction inspections and compliance audits. You will also conduct accident and incident investigations as well as, monitor any trends and provide recommendations. You will also monitor contractor/sub-contractors performance, managing Health & Safety KPI's. In addition to this you will also be required to provide CDM advice and guidance on a number of projects and take on the role of principal designer on minor CDM projects.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate for this role will hold the minimum of the NEBOSH Certificate (preferably construction) with previous experience within a construction Health & Safety role. You must be able to demonstrate a strong working knowledge of CDM regulations and have experience applying this in previous roles. Knowledge and experience with risks such as Fire, Legionella, Asbestos, Gas and Electric will also be beneficial.
