Head of Health & Safety role available at fast growing construction company based in Central London.
Your new company
Our client is a successful construction company, currently working on a number of prestigious sites for the most important Principal Contractors in Central London. In order to enhance the corporate structure they are currently recruiting a Head of Health & Safety.
Your new role
The main purpose of the role is advise, coach, mentor, and support all staff and the supply chain with regard to Health, Safety and Environmental performance to ensure everyone affected by activities remain safe.
As you are responsible for Health & Safety within the business you will give advice regarding latest health, safety and environmental legislation and best practice to operatives, site management, senior management and directors; you will develop new and innovative techniques to improve the delivery and understanding of H&S at all levels and implement a behaviourial safety "culture" change in the organisation.
You will also carry out site inspections and audits on a regular basis, assist project teams to review risk assessments & safe systems of work for difficult or unusual operations and give advice to estimators, planners and project teams on all issues regarding CDM and H&S best practice.
As Head of Health & Safety you will have also the responsibility to produce reports and analyse the statistical H&S performance of the business with regard to the general construction industry, specific sectors and competitors.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent education and a Chartered Membership of IOSH. You will have previous experience in the Construction industry with managerial and strategic roles.
