Provide innovative solutions to the most challenging issues
With our line of work comes an abundance of challenging hazards and risks, and you’ll be the one to identify them and provide practical management solutions. You’ll seek out opportunities for development and make cost-effective recommendations. And you’ll coach and train teams to deliver our services and products safely. Within the Health and Safety team you’ll lead on providing tools, processes and systems to ensure safe delivery of products and services.
Influencing safety compliance and innovation from a manager’s perspective
As a self-starter, you can stay grounded and focused, and demonstrate an excellent attention to detail. You’re also a seamless communicator. This role will see you forging relationships with our diverse teams, key stakeholders, customers, contractors and a great deal more. So not only will you have strong safety management experience and skills, including practical application of CDM 2015 – you’ll also be able to engage, influence and persuade with confidence at all levels. You’ll be well organised, too, meeting tight deadlines with efficiency. Safety compliance is critical and through audit and performance analysis you’ll support operational areas in achieving high standards of risk identification and management.
We’ll also expect you to have wide-ranging experience of managing H&S including product design, construction and service delivery. Leadership and influencing skills are all essential for this role, ideally gained in a line management role.
