My client are a global engineering group looking to add an adaptable HSE Manager to their team in Poole.

The aim of the organisation is clear - they deliver great solutions for their customers tackling the world's most demanding engineering challenges. The main markets that they operate in are Industrial Automation, Commercial Vehicles, Energy, Food & Beverage, Life Sciences and Rail. In addition to the Poole base, they have manufacturing centres in Germany, China, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Brazil.

Your new role

Reporting to the Plant Director, The HSE Manager will act as the competent person for the Company and provide advice and assistance to management and employees on all Safety, Health, Environmental and Fire related matters. This represents a key role in controlling occupational risk within the business.

Working hours: 37/week - Monday-Thursday, 8-4.30pm (30 minute unpaid lunch break) and Friday, 8-1pm (no break)

What you'll need to succeed

This is primarily a single-site role, but may require occasional travel so a Full UK Driving Licence is essential. The successful candidate must hold a NEBOSH General and Fire Certificate (or equivalent) and be a member of IEMA.

The company are looking for someone with a strong team work ethic who can work effectively at all levels of the business across many departments. As HSE Manager, you must be adaptable, prepared to challenge poor behaviour and be able to demonstrate a proven ability to deliver company objectives.

What you'll get in return

A salary of between £35,000-£42,000/annum DOE with a generous benefits package that includes: 25 days holiday + BH's (company closed between Christmas and New Year), annual pay review (January), Pension Scheme matched up to 6% and pool car/fuel card provided for any travel.
