HSE Manager (Heavy Engineering)
HSE leader to work for this large heavy engineering company in Wirral.
Your new company
Your new company are a company that are clear leaders within their field. They have taken on some real large contracts and are looking to employ an additional HSE manager. The company have been operating from this site since the early 1800's and currently employ over 1000 people.
Your new role
As HSE manager you will be responsible for all HSE activity on site and will report into the HSE director. You will be liaising with relevant department heads to support them in their area. You will have a relatively large number of direct reports including HSE advisors and supervisors and will be encouraged to be continually progress them in their career. You will be working closely with project managers for new work coming into site.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be CMIOSH accredited and hold NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent. You will be a good people manager, assertive but fair at the same time to ensure the team remains efficient. You will need to be comfortable in presenting on behalf of the H&S team to the board of directors. This role will only suit candidates who have come from a heavy engineering background or environments such as marine, docks etc.
