Group Facilities and Safety Manager

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Group Facilities and Safety Manager in Leicestershire working for a successful and respected educational trust. They operate across a number of schools in Leicestershire, working in partnership with the teachers and staff. This is a great opportunity to work within a cohesive and successful facilities department.
Your new role
You will implement and lead the trusts facilities and health and safety strategy, making sure the upkeep, maintenance, health and safety and facilities management are in line with the regulatory requirements. You will take a proactive approach on leading and developing new projects, looking to exceed wherever possible the health and safety requirements. You will liaise with all the estates teams across the trust, maintaining the delivery of efficient and safe sites and ensuring that all activities are undertaken within the Health and Safety policy. You will prepare and update various procedures, looking to continually improve; making sure the trust meets all obligations under various Health and Safety legislation.
What you'll need to succeed
All staff are to undergo appropriate checks, including an enhanced DBS check. You will hold a NEBOSH Diploma and ideally be a member of IOSH. Should you hold a qualification within estates management or training in building, this will be highly sought after. You will have good knowledge of all Health and Safety regulations in relation to Estates functions and of Management Systems, OHSAS 18001.
