Fire Safety Consultant
A Fire Safety Specialist to join an established fire/safety consultancy based in Portsmouth, Hampshire.

My exclusive client is committed to providing the very best in fire and safety consultancy services since they were established over 13 years ago. Due to continuing expansion, the company wish to recruit an additional Fire Safety Consultant to deliver and manage fire safety services. This role presents an opportunity to join an established and dynamic company with an exciting growth strategy. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, business minded and have excellent communication skills.
They deliver legally compliant fire and safety risk management services to clients with multiple property portfolios, predominantly within the residential sector and provide an environment of creativity, personal growth and wellbeing for their employees.
Your new role
This is an autonomous, client-facing role with the possibility of flexible working hours. This position is a mobile role so you must hold a Full UK Driving Licence and own your own vehicle.
The key responsibilities include:
- Provision of fire safety risk assessments, consultancy and training services to a varied client base
- Manage a group of fire safety consultants and conducting robust quality assurance checks of submitted reports as part of our Internal Quality Standards
- Assisting with the development of internal and external training and competency programmes
- Assisting with ongoing company development and innovation to further improve our services
What you'll need to succeed
You must have a minimum of 5 years' demonstrable experience in practical fire safety application and a recognised technical fire safety qualification to minimum HND level, or equivalent. Fire Service College fire safety modules A-E would be considered a distinct advantage too. The successful applicant will be a member of a national fire safety organisation, such as IFE, MIFPO etc, preferably as a registered risk assessor (Life Safety).
As Fire Safety Consultant, you should possess an in depth knowledge of fire safety standards and risk assessment principles, with a proven ability to apply benchmark standards in a logical and practical manner. The company are looking for a self-motivated and results oriented person who is professional and courteous and an excellent team player.
