Your new company
Our client is one of the largest Construction Contractors in the UK, operating mainly in the residential sector. In order to enhance their Health & Safety department, they are currently recruiting for a Regional Health & Safety Advisor.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Head of Health & Safety, you will mainly help the business in achieving the required standards of performance on site. You will work closely with Site Management teams to devise, plan and administer actions to improve standards on site, in accordance with existing policies and procedures.
On daily basis you will carry out regular site reviews and inspections with regional build management to monitor compliance with health and safety policies and procedures; you will provide H&S support and guidance to management teams when planning developments in order to mitigate H&S risks and will act as a mentor and contribute to the full implementation of health and safety management system for the Region.
You will be responsible for a number of construction sites (mainly residential new build), covering a regional area from Harlow to Duxford.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have a previous experience as H&S Advisor within the Construction industry, ideally a NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate and a Tech IOSH membership.
You will also have excellent communication skills, passion for health & safety and the ability to organise your workload and diary as you will be travelling throughout site projects locations.
