Maplefield Recruitment have been engaged by a leading care organisation to recruit a qualified Health and Safety advisor to support multiple care settings around the Somerset area.
The company have been operating within the care sector for over 10 years and are rapidly growing to support their client groups across domiciliary care, registered care homes, outreach, supported living, day and assessment centres and office units.
You will be joining an established, award winning team of regional of Health and Safety advisors overseeing day to day management of Health and Safety across the units within your region. This will incorporate Fire, RIDDORS, accident and incident reporting, managing insurance claims and supporting the employees of the organisation giving practical health and safety guidance and advice. There will also be an opportunity for you to help write and develop policies and procedures for the organisation so a great development opportunity for the right person.
This will be a home based role with bimonthly management meetings to share knowledge and advice with the team to promote collaborative working and best practice. Changing behaviours and culture is a big part of the role so someone with strong influencing and communications skills would be ideal.
The client is looking for a qualified health and safety advisor with care industry experience within care organisations, hospital environments or local authorities / councils to support around 70 settings throughout the county. The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a NEBOSH general certificate or working towards with care industry experience.
