HSE Technical Compliance Manager at a major organisation operating in the Utilities sector in the UK.

Your new company
Our client is one of the largest companies in the UK operating within the Utilities sector. In order to enhance their Senior Management H&S department, they are currently recruiting for a HSE Technical Compliance Manager.

Your new role
Reporting to the Head of HSE, you will continuously improve personal and technical safety, well-being, environmental and security working practices and ensure full compliance with appropriate legislation, regulation, technical, operational and business policies, standards and procedures.

On daily basis you will be mainly focused on implementing and reviewing processes and practices to ensure compliance with all current regulations with regard to personal, technical and environmental criteria and drive solutions for continuous improvement. You will also act as a mentor for the business for changes in regulatory and environmental legislation and advice the necessary stakeholders on the impact of any future changes.
You will identify knowledge or skills gaps and implement training solutions to meet these needs in order that each member attains and maintains the required competency levels.

As senior member of the team you will deliver oversight and assurance to managers of their risks, drive solutions to improve the level of compliance and regulatory risk control.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have previous experience in similar roles, with strong knowledge of HSE within large companies operating in Manufacturing, Energy or Utilities sectors. You will also have a degree in Health & Safety or equivalent education, and you will be a fully qualified member of a professional body in health, safety, environment or quality.
