We are working exclusively for one of the UK's biggest food manufacturers, a truly exciting business with a great reputation in the industry. They have an excellent opportunity for a Site Health, Safety & Environment Manager to join their team near Liverpool.

The Role:
  • Ownership of the Site HSE function, ensuring the site complies with all Health, Safety & Environmental legislation, and company standards.
  • Lead the HSE strategy, implementing site-wide initiatives to embed behavioural safety and best practice, and developing a long-term safety plan.
  • Managing one HSE Advisor, and reporting directly to the Factory General Manager
The Candidate:

Essential
  • NEBOSH Diploma or National General Certificate
  • IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management (or equivalent, or evidence of managing ISO 14001)
  • At least 2 years experience in an FMCG environment as HSE Manager, preferably within food manufacturing
  • Knowledge of SHE legislation, Hazard identification, risk assessment and management
  • Previous audit experience, and ability to lead internal and external HSE auditing teams
  • Training, coaching and mentoring experience
Desirable
  • At least 2 years experience in food manufacturing as an HSE Manager (or similar)
  • Understanding of EDR/PDR people processes
  • COSHH
  • Working knowledge of CDM/ATEX/DSEAR
