Exciting expansion into new territories! This is an amazing opportunity for a Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental Manager to lead a brand new site in Cambridgeshire. If you are looking for a blank canvass where you can really make your mark then this is the perfect opportunity for you!
During the factory start-up phase, the Quality, Safety, Health and Environment Manager will be responsible for developing the site internal Quality, Safety and Environmental Management systems, as well as managing the process towards third-party certifications for Quality & Food Safety (e.g. BRC7 or ISO 22001, HACCP), Health & Safety (OHSAS 18001) and Environment (ISO 14001).
As the Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental Manager you will be a key member of the factory leadership team, the QHSE Manager will be responsible for ensuring operations on the new site are compliant with all the relevant quality, health and safety, and environmental regulations, as well as with relevant third-party certifications and internal standards.
The successful NEBOSH qualified professional will be passionate about QSHE and people. It is essential to hold Food Safety Level 3 and HACCP level 3 and desirable to be a member of IEMA and internal audit qualifications would also be an advantage.
As the leader of QSHE you will be responsible for acting as the principal point of contact on all quality, food safety, safety and environmental matters. Providing training and mentoring to all staff on quality, food safety, safety and environmental matters.
You will facilitate timely, robust and effective containment and corrective actions related to any QSHE non-conformances. Developing and implementing the site internal Quality Management System and creating the site HACCP plan. You will manage & monitor ongoing compliance of products and processes to external and internal quality and food safety requirements. Whilst managing the process towards third-party certifications – e.g. BRC7 or ISO 22001 and HACCP.
Working towards the site objective of 0 RIDDOR and 0 LTA, manage & monitor ongoing compliance to site health & safety standards and create a behavioural safety culture and managing the process towards third-party certification OHSAS 18001.
Environmentally you will develop and implement the site internal Environmental Management System, including the creation of all associated policies and procedures that must be in place at the start of production to comply with the site bespoke IPPC permit.
To be successful you must have previous experience of overall responsibility for managing QSHE systems in a manufacturing environment is essential; previous experience in beverage, food or FMCG industries is desirable. You will have First-hand knowledge of relevant quality standards (ISO, BRC) and food safety methodologies (HACCP principles) is essential.
Good working knowledge of managing environmental compliance in a facility covered by a bespoke IPPC is essential; previous experience of putting together bespoke permit application and all associated documentation is desirable.
