The Opportunity

An international food company are looking for a quick-thinking and knowledgeable Health and Safety Manager. You will be responsible for implementing, maintaining and monitoring the Risk Management Strategy for all delivery personnel globally. You will be responsible for researching global standards and ensuring all areas of the business adhere to these by recommending changes to current processes or implementing new ones.

It will be your responsibility to advise on all elements of risk management to all stakeholders across the business from senior leaders to frontline staff.

What You'll Need to Succeed

You will need to be a high energy, positive and proactive individual with an extremely good knowledge of health and safety legislation relating to people and workers. Knowledge of indemnity insurance would be beneficial, along with experience in a food based health and safety role. On top of this, an understanding of PPE and wellbeing and mental health legislation, though not essential, would be useful.

Some knowledge of EU or international health and safety legislation would be helpful for the role.

Along with your strong experience of legislation, you will also be able to mentor and support staff in all areas of health and safety.

Some international travel will be involved.

You will require Grad IOSH and ideally be working towards Chartered status.
