This Chemical leader is looking for a highly experienced and professional REACH and Regulatory Affairs Specialist to help them achieve full compliance with global chemical registration programs and support their New Markets sector thereby ensuring they have a continued business licence to operate.
As the REACH and Regulatory Affairs Specialist you will manage chemical notification programs within control regimes such as REACH and global equivalent systems e.g. EU-REACH, K-REACH, China-REACH for new and existing substances. Create, maintain and update chemical dossiers and develop Safe use of Catalyst Mixtures parameters (e.g. SUMIs) for inclusion in SDS.
You will represent the organisation in EU REACH and global consortia, co-ordinating; activities to ensure compliance at minimum cost promoting global use of regulatory data. Working collaboratively in multidisciplinary project teams, within the organisation, and also support interactions with trade associations, sector groups/task forces (e.g. ECMA) and regulatory agencies.
Manage all relevant supply chain communication, review and interpret regulatory information from registration dossiers/Chemical Safety Reports and support all substance related activities associated with global impacts of Restriction, Evaluation and Authorisation.
To be considered for the REACH and Regulatory Affairs Specialist opportunity you must be Degree/post-graduate qualification in one or more of the following disciplines: Chemistry, Toxicology, Ecotoxicology, Biochemical sciences or a related subject or equivalent experience.
With extensive experience of working in a regulatory role in the chemical industry, you will have experience dealing with regulatory authorities and experience in using dossier submission systems (IUCLID, CHESAR etc.)
Knowledge of global chemical hazard classification and communication legislation (GHS, SDS and labelling) is essential with strong project management skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
