UK Safety Manager
Ensure that required safety processes and procedures are implemented for the non-rail business within the United Kingdom. Support other management systems (Environment and Quality Assurance).
Maintain documentation and inspection regimen in order to ensure Century Link meets statutory requirements within the United Kingdom as well as International standards (ISO 45001 / OSHAS 18001).
Ensure that Century Link systems for Asbestos Management / Fire Risk Assessment / Display Screen Equipment are effectively discharged. Ensure internal and external audits are carried out in respect of SHE (Q) Management systems.
Assist in co-ordination activities supporting legal compliance with UK Health & Safety Legislation, in particular First Aid / Fire / Training and Display Screen Equipment assessments.
Assist with implementation of Level3 environmental accreditation (ISO 14001) and quality assurance accreditation (ISO 9001).
Acts as the focal point for employees on health and safety issues. Provide education and training to staff and promote awareness in general health safety.
Assist and support Senior Safety Health and Environment Manager in respect of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality Management Systems for Europe.
Excellent communication skills including ability to influence compliance with safety policies and standards. Experience in Quality Management and Environmental systems.
CMIOSH qualification would be a distinct advantage.
