Regional HSQE Manager - Carlisle

Story Contracting Limited are an established, well respected rail, civil engineering and construction company based in Carlisle, Cumbria, with offices located across the north of England and Scotland.

Well established within the Rail Industry, being Network Rail Supplier of the Year in 2014 and with of a number project awards to its name, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regional HSQE Manager to support our operations in Northern England.

Based at our Carlisle office, reporting the Senior HSQE Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery our Health and Safety strategy across regional depots and projects providing advice and support to project teams and working collaboratively to deliver project works whilst maintaining first class health and safety standards. Being the main contract for our Construction and Reiver Homes Senior Management Teams, you will be confident with the ability to drive the safety agenda both at Senior Manager and Site level.

You will be an established health and safety professional, an experienced Site Auditor and Incident Investigator with a keen eye for detail, and will be focussed on working with the Site Teams in order to continually improve safety performance. You will be self-driven with the ability to manage your time effectively, and be prepared to travel across the north of England in order to support the site teams.

You will hold a NEBOSH Construction Certificate as a minimum, and will be a Graduate Member of IOSH with the ambition to work towards CMIOSH status. You will have gained experience working within the construction / civil engineering sector. Working knowledge of the rail industry standards with PTS certification would be desirable but not essential, and environmental knowledge would be advantageous.

In response, you will receive a salary in the range of £35-£45k per annum (depending upon experience), a company car or car allowance, base bonus of 20% of salary, 5% company pension contribution, rising to 7% after 5 years service, national retail discounts and other benefits.
