The successful candidate
Previous experience driving ISO 14001 forward, reviewing all environmental aspects of a business, coordinating packaging waste, recycling programmes, managing all environmental policies and procedures and maintaining environmental standards.
You will be predominately based in the distribution centre however will spend up to 30% of your time travelling to over 50 retail stores around the UK assisting the health and safety team with H&S audits, projects and site inspections.
The ideal candidate will have experience in coordinating and managing internal processes including waste, recycling, emissions and energy ensuring legal compliance is met.
You will have a proven track record of strong administrative and organisational skills and have the ability the influence people at all levels. Up to date knowledge of WEEE, COSH, ROHS and REACH is key.
To be considered for this role you must have must have an Environmental qualifications, ideally an environmental degree or IEMA qualification. A NEBOSH General Certificate, NCRQ or equivalent is advantageous. A minimum of two year’s hands on experience in an environmental advisors role and a strong administrative background is required
A UK driving licence is essential and the ability to be flexible and travel to various locations throughout the UK is key.
