Health and Safety Officer
A South London Borough are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Officer. You will be responsible for carrying out health and safety audits in Council workplaces and producing action plans based on assessments.
You will carry out fire risk assessments and disability access audits. You will help to push forward the culture of health and safety through training staff and developing and delivering robust risk assessments in all areas. You will be responsible for reporting and investigating incidents and accidents and working to reduce these.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have proven experience in audit and inspection of a variety of buildings and workplaces, including carrying out fire risk assessments, investigating incidents and reporting issues.
You have the ability to communicate at all levels of an organisation, enabling you to train and mentor staff as well as provide advice and support to the organisation.
You must hold a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and will hold GradIOSH membership.
