A leading MOD business are adding a pro-active HS&E Manager to their team in Wiltshire.

Your new company

Alongside the MOD, my client will manage and deliver a modern, flexible living and working environment for soldiers in the Wiltshire area that will support the UK military. The company specialise in the delivery of major construction and demolition projects with an established supply chain and in-house expertise in project management and the management of associated environmental and health and safety issues.

They offer a variety of services including: estates management and maintenance, grounds maintenance, stores, security, transport, office services, administration, sport and leisure.

Your new role

Reporting to the Operations Director, as the HS&E Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that the business activities are delivered in compliance with the company Management System across 4 major military garrisons, incorporating the statutory requirements. This includes providing professional advice, guidance and assistance to the Operations Director, managers and other operational staff in the implementation of the company's occupational HS&E practices to ensure that the risks of activities and workplaces are appropriately controlled.

Working hours: Monday-Friday, 8.30-5 or 9-5.30 (37.5 hours/week). This is a mobile role within the Wiltshire area so a Full UK Driving Licence is essential, travel costs will be covered.

PLEASE NOTE: I have advertised for another role of Head of Health & Safety role for this client recently, but this is a different permanent position.

What you'll need to succeed

My client are looking for an influential communicator who has proven success in a similar HS&E role, preferably within the building services/FM sector. Strong knowledge in an MOD environment will be an advantage too.

You must hold a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, ideally CMIOSH. Other essential qualifications include Associate Membership of IEMA, P405 Asbestos Management and ISO 9001 Internal Auditor.
