Training & Safety Manager
Training & Safety Manager role at a prestigious trade association, based in Central London.
Your new company
Our client is a prestigious trade association which has established a very strong position in the technical training provision for its industry. They are investing heavily in redeveloping their industry training provision and looking to become an endpoint assessment organisation (EPAO) for the industry trailblazer apprenticeships. This is therefore an exciting time to join them.
Your new role
The role combines health & safety (H&S) and education & training (E&T) responsibilities where E&T represents the larger part of the role. You will be responsible for a key part of the organisation and will report directly to the Managing Director.
On daily basis you will manage and organise the day to day delivery of extensive Distance Learning Courses and to oversee their development; you will manage the role as Centre coordinator for the Industry skills vocational qualifications; you will assist with possible setting-up as an end-point assessment organisation for industry trailblazer apprenticeships.
An important part of the role will be also to provide support to the committees responsible for health & safety and training. As Training & Safety Manager you will author H&S and E&T information and share widely with association's members. You will liaise with Health & Safety and Education & Training bodies to maintain active contact such as HSE, IOSH, EAL, IfA etc.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will have ideally experience in the Education & Training sector as well as Health & Safety. Previous working experience in Engineering or Construction in a HSE role would be a plus. You will also hold relevant Health and Safety qualifications (i.e. NEBOSH General Certificate).
You will also have excellent communication skills and a real passion for Health & Safety combined with Education & Training.
