Camden council is looking to recruit a Senior Health and Safety Advisor who enjoys a challenge and wants to be part of our team of professionals. The role will involve working with senior managers and heads of service to develop and deliver innovative health and safety solutions within a large and complex organisation.
The role will predominately be to provide advice within our Supporting Communities Directorate, which includes key services such as Environmental, Libraries, Estates as well as Property Management.
The post offers a suitably qualified and experienced health and safety professional the opportunity to develop their skills by providing a variety of work, such as being involved in audits, inspections, formulating policies, investigating accidents, advising staff and leading operational and specialist activities.
You will be qualified in NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent. You will also be a corporate member of IOSH or will be working towards this. You will be experienced in developing and delivering safety policies and procedures across a large and complicated organisation and be able to lead both specialist and operational safety activities. Experience of working within a local authority would be advantageous.
This is an excellent opportunity to work with senior managers, employees and key stakeholders to advise them on a range of complex occupational health and safety issues. You will be exposed to risk assessment, audits, accident investigation and derive reports and findings from these.
