Projects Health & Safety Manager

Full Time

The appointment will be on UCL Grade 9. The salary range will be £55,163 - £56,981 per annum , inclusive of London Allowance.

The UCL Estate comprises over 200 buildings valued at over £2 Billion, more than four million square feet of academic accommodation and approaching 4000 student bedrooms. The scale, variety and complexity of the estate are unparalleled in the sector. UCL Estates is responsible for managing the delivery of an Estate Strategy with an investment programme in excess of £1¼bn over the next ten years.

The Projects Health and Safety Manager will have the ability to work collaboratively with Project Managers/teams, attending project meetings/boards as required, to provide specialist H&S management, advice, training and instruction to ensure compliance; identify and mitigate risk; conduct stage gate reviews to provide Health and Safety approval and specialist advice.

The successful candidate must possess relevant H&S professional qualification and chartered membership of relevant professional body. E.g. NEBOSH Diploma Level & IOSH qualified. The Projects Health and Safety manager will have previous experience of managing construction related H&S, experience of providing detailed advice at various levels and experience of collating and disseminating advice and information.
