An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Corporate Health & Safety team within Conwy. The successful candidate will provide an advisory function to the Council on all matters of safety, health, and welfare, under the direction of the Corporate Occupational Health and Safety Manager and play a leading role in ensuring that the Council complies with current and developing health and safety legislation and other recognised health and safety standards.
Candidates will hold an Occupational Health & Safety NEBOSH Diploma (Part 2) or equivalent qualification in Health and Safety; and be a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety or equivalent with relevant experience.
In depth experience in Health & Safety covering all aspects within a Local Government scenario is essential.
You will have excellent personal written, verbal and presentational skills with the ability to give articulate, comprehensive and persuasive presentations to a wide variety of audiences on complex matters.
As Conwy has large geographic area the ability to travel within the area to attend appointments is required.
