Fire, Health and Safety Advisor
The British Museum is recruiting for a Fire, Health and Safety Advisor to promote and support high standards in fire and health and safety management by implementing best practice, providing technical and advisory support and ensuring that policies and procedures are observed across the Museum.
The Fire, Health and Safety Advisor will provide advice to a variety of stakeholders and assist managers with hazard and risk assessments and measures to prevent/protect against such risks. The post-holder will deputise for the Health and Safety Manager, as necessary, and continually identify ways to improve processes and ways of protecting all aspects of the Museum.
The successful candidate will have experience of advising on safety in a business environment and will be educated to A-level, or equivalent. With a NEBOSH General Certificate and NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate, you will have knowledge of current health and safety and fire safety procedures and legislation.
We are looking for a skilled communicator who can deliver information clearly to a variety of individuals with a diplomatic approach. Working as part of a team, you will be an excellent problem solver and will have strong IT skills. The post-holder will seek to keep up to date with legislative changes and changes in best practice.
