EHS Manager - New Exciting Projects

This position is responsible for delivering state of the art Environmental, Health and Safety systems and culture for key projects, with effective EHS systems resulting in project and contractor employees instinctively working efficiently, effectively and safely. Providing leadership, coaching and auditing of all projects sites within the sector.
As the Environmental, Safety and Health Manager you will be degree qualified in a relevant subject, ideally in a technical or safety related discipline, CMIOSH or equivalent with 7-10 years industry experience. Experience in a chemicals or petrochemicals manufacturing environment, project experience and knowledge of permitting is essential. You must have experience working with highly hazardous chemicals, toxic, flammable and pyrophoric. With deep knowledge of process safety methodologies and tools e.g. Los prevention, LOPA, HAZOP, PHA, F&EI, QRA etc..
You must have significant experience of leading cultural change and building a process safety excellence culture. With experience of building and developing a high performing team and a history of setting and achieving the highest EHS standards of performance.
As the EHS Manager you will collaborate with project managers and other key stakeholders to effectively implement robust EHS safety processes, systems, organisation and culture. Providing effective “upward” and “downward” communication in relation to EHS performance for the projects, trends and impending current issues.
Responsible for all EHS permit application and ensuring that timelines are met and identifying any strategic risks as part of the permitting process. Interface & collaborate with subcontractors, vendors and partners to ensure EHS standards are met. Whilst maintaining a strong functional reporting line with Group EHS, ensuring Group EHS standards are maintained.
Ensuring Environmental, Health and Safety requirements for construction turnkey and outages are identified and addressed during the EHS pre-planning process and through project completion. Ensure process safety risks for the projects are adequately identified and managed by following all the Group Process Safety Management policies.
