We have a long standing relationship with a UK leading Utilities organisation and have recently been requested to source a Senior HSEQ Advisor within the London region.  This role will be working within their power/ electricity division:

Purpose of Role:

To play a pivotal role in implementing a positive HSEQ Culture within the business by providing professional support and advice, monitor compliance and business assurance procedures, stay up to date with legislation and implement within the business.

The Role:

Working across a number of different sites in the London borough on power/ electric based projects. Adhere to the organisations policies and procedures, national legislation and best practises.Work with External Auditors, Regulatory Authorities, and customers.Support the business’s operations division in providing HSEQ knowledge and provide innovative ideas where appropriate.  Write new processes, procedures and systems.Carry out audit checks on live sites, record the findings appropriately and carry out appropriate reporting procedures.Provide training where appropriate to all levels within the business.Assist the HSEQ division in ensuring the business continue working towards 14001, 18001 and 9001 standards.Identify common trends with accidents/ incidents and create an action plan to rectify these issues.Ensure compliance with the organisations corporate responsibility policies , procedures and standards.

The Candidate:

Knowledge and experience in all 18801, 14001 and 9001 regulations.NEBOSH certified or equivalent.Environmental certificate would also be desired.Experience of working within Power/ Electricity focused organisations.Experience of working with External Auditors, Regulatory Authorities, and customers.IT literate with the ability to analyse data appropriately to present to others.Ability to work autonomously.A quick decision maker that uses their initiative to solve an issue.  Self-efficient who can manage workload/ prioritise workload.  Show integrity within their work, completing tasks to the best of their ability.A team player and leader but isn’t afraid to be hands-on to achieve the business needs.Excellent communication skills to all levels within the business.Ability to work to strict deadlines under pressure.
