Assistant Safety Adviser

The role is one of 7 advisors in the Safety Office (part of the Occupational Health and Safety Service), providing health and safety advice, supportive actions, guidance and training to all sectors of the University (primarily departments/institutions but also University Colleges on request).

The role of the Assistant Safety Adviser is that of a generalist adviser but will also have responsibility for overseeing the auditing of departments on safety related issues and will assist with reviewing risk assessments relating to students studying abroad. As with other OHSS officers, the role-holder may need to liaise with the Enforcement Authorities (e.g, Health and Safety Executive and the Environment Agency).
