Starting Salary: £23,866 pa progressing to £33,136 pa (offered salary dependent on experience/qualifications)

Full Time Hours, Permanent Contract

With excellent knowledge of Health & Safety legislation you will give professional advice and technical guidance on all aspects of Health & Safety, supporting staff and managers in order to help deliver an effective service across the County Council.

This role will also support external District / Borough Councils as part of the team’s traded health and safety advisory services.

It is important that the successful applicant is customer focused and able to positively promote good health & safety practice to deliver the appropriate level of support. A team player, with the ability to liaise with colleagues at all levels both within HCC and our partner organisations, good interpersonal skills are a must.

The ideal candidate will be qualified to NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent, with corporate membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) or working toward this desirable.

Consideration will also be given to candidates holding as a minimum NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent.

The ability to travel around the County to attend appointments is essential.
