Leading global manufacturer is looking for a forwarding thinking and proactive Health & Safety coordinator to support senior and middle management in carrying out their responsibilities with regards the health and safety of employees within their areas of control; and advising on any shortcomings identified.

As the Health and Safety Coordinator you will assist where required with hazard identification (risk assessment process) and generate a Health and Safety Plan to prioritise and coordinate site improvement projects. You will carry out inspections & audit of work areas with senior Managers. Whilst promoting a positive Health and Safety culture, with the aim of continuous improvement.
You will generate statistics with regards accidents & incidents, reporting sites’ health and safety performance to senior management team on a monthly basis. Ensuring continued legal compliance i.e. Health and safety regulations are complied with on site. Whilst ensuring ongoing ISO50001 Energy Management Compliance.
To be considered for the Health and Safety Coordinator opportunity you must have a NEBOSH general or equivalent and hold IEMA or IOSH membership. You will have experience in COSHH and hold a degree level or equivalent gained from experience within a manufacturing and medical device environment.
