A Health & Safety/FM Advisor to join an established supplier of building materials in the south.

Your new role
As Health and Safety/FM Advisor, you will report to the Operations Manager (no direct reports). This is a varied role that will take on responsibility for all activity related to Health and Safety, Facilities Management and Transport within the business.
This role supports the Operations team by ensuring that the company are effectively organised across all platforms for ease of document retrieval, whilst assisting to question operational processes to establish their effectiveness and mitigate risk. You will also provide first line office support, dealing effectively and professionally with requests, maintaining excellent customer service.
Working hours: 40/week, Monday-Friday (8am-5pm). You will be primarily based at the Southampton site, but could be required to travel on occasions so a Full UK Driving Licence is essential (mileage can be claimed at 45p/mile).
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will be an organised, confident person with experience of transport/logistics or builders merchant environments, but the company could be flexible on the industry background for the right individual.
You must hold a NEBOSH General/Construction Certificate or be a Member of IOSH (Tech minimum), BIFM would be an advantage too. You must be commercially aware, proven at working with all levels of a business and willing to undertake continued professional training.

The company are offering a market-led salary between £30,000-£35,000 (DOE), 22 days holiday plus BH's, pension matched to 5%, annual profit share and free/subsidised parking.
