An influential H&S Coordinator to join a leading provider of M&E/Fire Services, based in Westbury (Wilts).

My client have been providing electrical, mechanical, plumbing and fire security services since they were established in the late 1970's. The company are proud to lead in the provision of these specialist services, having enjoyed steady growth with a current turnover of more than £12m.

Your new role

This is an exciting new position that has been created due to the continued expansion of the business. As Health and Safety Coordinator, you will enjoy a varied, hands-on role and report to the M&E Contract Directors. You will have support from the MD who is the business lead for Health and Safety, with additional support from an external consultancy. This is a mobile role between 3 sites in Wiltshire (mainly based at Westbury), so a Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Key responsibilities include:

- Helping to develop and implement the companies' H&S related policies/procedures
- Reviewing policies and recommending changes
- Working closely with all parties to ensure full engagement with, and compliance to the companies' H&S policies/procedures (including communicating, training and offering ongoing support to staff)
- Identifying safety issues, proposing corrective actions and following them through to completion
- Assisting with the preparation of company risk assessments

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will be articulate with a thorough approach to H&S and experience in a similar role (1 year minimum), possessing excellent written/verbal skills. You must hold either a NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate with strong IT skills.
